Photo-a-Day #12

Today is International Kiss a Ginger Day, so my photo is of me. What a lovely concept for a holiday.

Photo-a-Day #10

Here I am. Solo dinner at a Mexican restaurant, and I've refused the chips and salsa (really just the chips). This new book Priceless by Shannon Mayer better be good enough to distract me from changing my mind. I mean, I'm proud of my restraint--but tortilla chips...

This is today's photo for a few reasons. 1) three days in a row to the top of Fitch Mountain in Healdsburg, 2) I brought my son with me and we had a great time chatting along the way, and 3) I love that it features the gap in his teeth from the front tooth he lost yesterday.

Photo-a-Day #8

This was taken at the top of Fitch Mountain in Healdsburg. I dropped my son at school early so I could get there and hike to the too before work--it's about 2.6 miles round trip, and pretty steep in spots. Love this view where it's clear at the too but the town below still deep in the fog.

Photo-a-Day #6

This is my new Jawbone Up24. It is an activity tracker, tracking both sleep and physical activity. It was a Christmas gift from my dad, and until today has served to remind me how incredibly lazy I am. Built-in daily goal is 10k steps. After several days in the 5k range, my jawbone had to encourage me to step it up a notch to 6500--a goal I accomplished. But today, I showed Jawbone who's boss with over 13k steps. We'll see how that goes tomorrow, but today felt pretty good.
